Maggie Yates – Host
Maggie Yates is a writer, editor, and theatre artist. She has a BA in theatre and performance studies from UC Berkeley and an MFA in writing from the University of San Francisco. She works for Out of the Box Theatre Company in Santa Barbara. She previously worked with The Shotgun Players at the Ashby Stage in Berkeley.
Maggie is an editor for Rocky Nook Inc. She hosts Theatrix, a bi-monthly podcast about Santa Barbara theatre, arts, and culture. She is a theatre critic and arts writer for Broadwayworld.com and the Santa Barbara Independent.
Anna Jensen – Host
Anna Jensen most recently served as Resident Dramaturg at Ensemble Theatre Company. She has translated and adapted plays by Henrik Ibsen, including Hedda Gabler and When We Dead Awaken, both of which were produced at Austin College in Texas. She has done production dramaturgy for many productions, and some of her favorites include: Macbeth (dir. Jonathan Fox), Good People (dir. Jenny Sullivan) and The Baltimore Waltz (dir. Tom Whitaker). She has a PhD in Theater Studies from UC Santa Barbara and specializes in Ibsen studies.
MilesOsten – Music
MilesOsten is an electronic music producer based in Santa Barbara, California, where he recently completed undergraduate studies in Physics at the University of California, and is now pursuing a graduate degree also at the University of California. He writes songs and plays the bass for the band Poster Child.
David Paris – Producer
David Paris is a Writer/Producer based in Santa Barbara, California. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Rhetoric. In addition to the “TheatrixSB” podcast, he also produces “1337 g33k” and “Yodeling Hoovers“, both of which are currently in pre-production.
